School Battery Retrieval Program - Batteries for Burger (B4B) BBQ

Join us at the 2nd Annual Batteries for Burgers (B4B) Barbeque Event.

During the school year of 2009-2010, we have collected more than 2000 LBs of batteries, approximately 100,000 AA/AAA batteries.

Just drop by, drop off your used batteries (dry cell and rechargeable types), cell phones, and you will receive a burger, hot dog or a pizza slice, and a drink. We will also have prize draw, recycling information, and school team demonsttrations on the day as well. EcoWatch Canada will manage the disposal of your used batteries in an environmentally friendly manner to ensure toxins from batteries do not impact your local neighborhoods and greenspace.

*** In addition, the winner of the School Battery Retrieval Competition 2010-2011 will be announced.

What happens if it rains the day of the B4B BBQ?
The B4B will go on with light rain showers. We have a rain plan already figured. Unless we encounter heavy rain or thunderstorm, then we will rearrange the B4B to another date and we will announce it in this website.
Please feel free to check out this page before the day of the B4B for up to the minute updates.
